报告简介：

We analyze how capital account openness influence employment in this paper. In theory, we show that the effect of financial openness depends on labor market institutions. For developing countries, with a flexible labor market, greater financial openness leads to capital inflow and improves domestic employment. With a rigid labor market, greater financial openness reduces domestic employment. For high income countries, labor market institutions do not systematically alter the effect of financial openness on domestic employment. We provide empirical evidence to support the theoretical predictions.

报告人简介：

杜清源，经济学博士，澳大利亚莫纳什大学经济系助理教授。他在美国哥伦比亚大学获得经济学硕士和博士学位，武汉大学获得经济学本科学位。他的研究领域包括国际经济、宏观经济和中国经济问题。曾在Journal of International Economics, European Economic Review, Journal of International Money and Finance, Economic Letters等期刊发表多篇学术论文。
